Happy couples – are you across the ‘Rule of 15’?

Under the current Government Covid-19 Tier Restrictions (Oct 2020), wedding ceremonies (including celebrant-led) can take place under all three levels with a maximum of 15 people including the couple. That number does not have to include anyone working at the wedding like me, your wedding celebrant!

The only difference is under Tier 3 (very high) where wedding receptions are not permitted.

So, are you planning a small wedding? Some people are calling them micro weddings.

I just wanted to say that size doesn’t matter, all that matters is you two, your love for each other and the (up to 13) people you choose to share it with.

Don’t forget that technology is your friend, so you could consider live streaming your wedding or having lots of guests via Zoom or getting a fab film made of the day which you can share with others later.

Some wedding venues are offering special Rule of 15 packages especially designed for an intimate ceremony during these times so it’s worth shopping around. If you really would like loads and loads of people then you could always have a big reception party at a later date maybe?

Just remember, your love for each other is not restricted by numbers, a virus or any rule!
