When I tell people I have trained to be a celebrant, they look a little confused!

Then I explain, what a celebrant can do for them and you see a smile spread across their face. I love it when that happens!

A celebrant is someone (me!) who can create a unique ceremony for you and your loved ones at some of the most special and important moments of your life.

We’re not vicars.

We’re not registrars.

We’re not humanists.

The list of ceremonies I can create is endless. If there is a moment in your life that needs marking from a birth, to a wedding, to a commitment, to a renewal of vows, to the end of someone’s life, I can write a ceremony for you.

What I can’t do is legally marry you or register births or deaths but you can still do that through the proper channels as per the law and then have a special ceremony written and conducted by me that is unique to your circumstances.

Your ceremony can contain pretty much anything you like… music, poetry, readings, rituals, your pet, as many as your family and friends as you can fit in, symbols, pledges, memories, promises, remembrance, goodbyes – the possibilities are endless. Your ceremony can also take place almost anywhere.

These are moments that will create lasting memories for you and your loved ones, and it would be my honour to create a ceremony for you.
